Tollbar Racing is a long-established team, run by former F3 competitor and engineer Michael Flounders whose extensive experience in motorsport spans some 40 years. The team has raced in numerous single-seater (F3, F3000, FRenault, Historic F1) and sportscar (Renault Spider, Group C, Sports 2000) categories and, with extensive fabrication facilities in our workshops, we also undertake rebuild and restoration projects.

The team started racing Ginetta G20's in 2004 and our Junior drivers consistently finish in the top four in championships, taking the team championship in 2008 (with four podium lock-outs) and in 2010 (with Jake Hill) winning twice as many races, more pole positions and fastest laps than any other team. As a testiment to our years of continued achievement, in 2011, Tollbar Racing drivers and former drivers were competing in every category of the TOCA series: George Richardson in the Porsche Carrera Cup; Josh Hill in Formula Renault UK; Chris Swanwick in the Renault Clio Cup; Rob Austin in the British Touring Car Championship; Jake Hill in the Ginetta G50/55 Supercup; and William Foster and Thomas Howard in the Ginetta G40 Junior championship.

Such extensive experience enables us to offer, to both established and novice drivers, a wealth of expertise and, together with first-hand knowledge of all British circuits, from both a driving and an engineering point of view, gives us a comprehensive understanding of all driver requirements. Specialising in single-seaters and sports cars, we offer a first-class engineering and race preparation service from our well-equipped, modern workshops.

Race meeting facilities include an articulated transporter, four-car awning and hospitality unit which provides a place to relax for drivers, team personnel and sponsors alike. We are always aware of the importance of sponsors and strive to provide a professional service and a professional image. The team prides itself on meticulous attention to detail which ensures performance, safety and reliability. We aim to maximise the potential of our drivers through education and publicity for them through results - our aim is always to have our drivers at the front and ideally on the podium. We offer driver coaching through ARDS-qualified instructors and advice on career development.
